About Avianca Airlines Airline
Avianca Airlines (AV) is the national carrier of Colombia. It is also the second-oldest continuously running airline in the world. On 14th June 1940, Aerovías Nacionales de Colombia S.A. (Avainca) was founded by the merger of Sociedad Colombo Alemana de Transporte Aéreo (SCADTA), and Servicio Aéreo Colombiano (SACO) airlines. Currently, Avianca Airlines has one of the most modern fleets of 61 aircrafts. It has approximately 25 daily international scheduled and chartered flights to 20 cities in 13 countries in countries like Europe, North America, Central America, the Caribbean and South America. It is the major airlines in the region with five subsidiary airlines including SAM, Helicol, OceanAir, VIP and Capital Airlines. Avianca has a strong regional base with regular flights to Medellín, Santiago de Cali, Cartagena, Barranquilla and Miami. For international destinations the airline flies to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Washington, San José, Costa Rica, Curaçao, Valencia, Venezuela, Santiago, Chile, New York, Madrid and Barcelona.

Each traveler can carry maximum for two checked baggage with overall dimension of 62 inches (L+W+H).
