Gulf Air (GF) is the flag bearer airline of Bahrain. It has it`s headquarter in Muharraq and base in Bahrain International Airport. The airline was established in late 1940s, when Freddie Bosworth, a British pilot and entrepreneur, started operating air taxi service to Doha and Dhahran from Bahrain. The airline is in code share agreement with many other airlines with special partnerships with Jet Airways and Oman Air. It is currently not a member of any alliance but is part of the Oneworld global explorer fare. The airline has a fleet of 30 aircrafts and covers 45 international destinations in around 28 countries in Africa, Asia and Europe.

The Gulf Air gives priority to its customers satisfaction. There is Falcon Gold premium cabins for business and Elite travelers and Economy class for other travelers. The Falcon gold travelers are provided with cabin service equipped with state-of-the-art flat bed chairs for extra comfort. Elite travelers can request for airline`s sleeper seats at the front of the aircraft. Amongst other amenities there are in-seat telephones, PC power, audio and video entertainment, in-flight Gulf Life magazine, priority check-in, lounge access, generous 40kg baggage allowance and frequent flyer miles and loyalty points to further enchant the travelers. There are special meals available on the aircrafts that ranges from baby food, bland, low fat, diabetic, fruit platter, gluten intolerant, to Hindu and Moslem meals.
The baggage policy of Gulf Air allows the Falcon Gold member to carry checked baggage weighing 88 lbs for Economy class it is 66 lbs for Gold class it is 44 lbs and for Silver class it is 33 lbs. Two pieces of checked baggage is allowed per traveler which has overall dimension of 31 inches per piece. For Cabin baggage the weight limit is 17.6 lbs for Falcon Gold and 13.2 lbs for Economy class. The overall dimension of cabin baggage should not exceed 45 inches.
