Lot Polish Airlines is the national airlines of Poland based in Warsaw. The airline was established in the year 1929, when the polish government took over two domestic airline companies, Aero and Aerolot. Currently, the Lot Polish Airlines is under combined ownership of Polish Government, SA Airlines and its share holder employees. The airline has two subsidiary airlines EuroLOT and Centralwings. EuroLot is privately owned entity, whereas Centralwings is owned by Germanwings, a subsidiary airline of Lufthansa Airlines . Lot Polish Airlines has its base at Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport, from where it operates regular flights to 10 domestic destinations and 70 transit cities in Europe, Asia, Middle East and North America. Planes have audio/video programs, newspapers, special in-flight magazine called Kaleidoscope, reclining chairs, special cabins in business and first class, power ports and internet access. An additional hand baggage weighing 17.6 lbs with overall dimension of 45 inches is allowed free of charge. Each Business traveler can carry two pieces of checked baggage and Economy class traveler is allowed with one piece each.
