Thai Airways International is the national airline of Thailand. The airline operates from Suvarnabhumi Airport and has it`s headquarter at Chatuchak in Bangkok. Thai Airways International holds 39 percent stake in low-cost airline Nok Air. The Airline has won many accolades in aviation industry such as award for `World`s Best First Class Lounge` by Skytrax. Thai Airways was recognized for excellence in onboard hygiene by the World Health Organization. Thai Airways was launched in the year1960 as a joint venture between Scandinavian Airlines System and Thai Airways Company as an international wing of Thai Airways. The Airline currently has a strong fleet of 91 aircrafts.

Thai Airways International caters to four categories of flying-Royal First, Royal Silk, Premium Economy and Economy class. The elite class travelers enjoy luxurious flying experience. There are special amenity kits, luxury lounges, 180 degree reclining chairs, Wi-Fi access, power ports and top class audio and video entertainment for the elite travelers. The food served is freshly cooked and highlights the traditional delicacies of Thailand to savor along with some great beverages. For the Economy travelers there are comfortable seats and other regular amenities. The in-flight meal consists of regular buffet and complimentary drinks served as per the days timing. Thai Airways International Web Check-in service is for the ease of travelers. Travelers with a valid e-ticket can print their boarding passes and assign seats for themselves. This facility is available 2 to 24 hours prior to flights departure.

As per the Thai Airways International baggage policy baggage allowance of checked baggage for Royal First Class is 88 lbs, Royal Executive Class is 66 lbs and Economy Class 44 lbs. The Royal Orchid Plus Gold members are entitled to check in an additional 20 kgs and Royal Orchid Plus Silver members can bring in additional 10kgs of baggage. Each passenger may carry one piece of hand baggage weighing not more than 15 lbs. The size limit of checked baggage is 62 inches and for carry on it is 45 inches.
